Snyder's Corey Walker blocks Paxon's Isaiah Adams layup. Adams 5 blocks

WESTSIDE JACKSONVILLE-

The 1-0 Bishop Cardinals defeated the 0-1 Paxon Eagles Monday night to open the season. The game had alot of preseason buzz surrounding it as Eagles' 3 star forward Isaiah Adams and Cardinals' 5 star forward are considered as two of the best in the country for the 2020 graduating class, and are led by by two terrific head coaches in Toby Frazier, and Vincent Martin respectively.

Corey Walker would control the tip over Isaiah Adams, and bury a 3 pointer to start off all scoring. The Cardinals would get off to a dominating 1st quarter as they led 12-1 to end the period. Snyder and Walker would continue to dominate the 1st half as Walker led all scorers with 16 points at the half. Walker would also logged 3 of his 5 total blocks. The Cardinals would lead the Eagles by a score of 28-11.

Much of the same would ensue in the 2nd half half for both teams as Synder dominated Paxon on both ends of the court. Cardinals Austin Lewis would also have a terrific game scoring 11 of his 21 point in the 2nd half to lead all scorers for the night. Guard Justin Hicks also had a good game logging 7 points in the 3rd frame to finish with 11 total and 7 assist. Corey Walker would finish the game with 20 points, 5 blocks and 15 rebounds. Walkers' stifling defense would help contain the play maker Adams to just 8 points on the night. The Cardinals will look to stay in the winning column as the host poewr house Providence Stallions, and the Eagles will look to get on track vs the high flying Firstcoast Bucs who will be led by 1 of the state's best G Tyree Saunders.
