DreamKingFilmz stopped by Ribault last week to check out the buzz surrounding both the programs. The Trojans will travel to Terry Parker May 17th for their spring game. The Trojans were bounced from the 1st round of the playoffs by Wakulla 17-8 after finishing the regular season 5-5. Head Coach Kevin Smith, has plenty to be optimistic about as his program has seemingly reloaded with enough talent to make a deep playoff run. The Northwest Classic versus rival Raines will be moved up from Saturday week 11 to Saturday week 8 and have playoff implication as the 3x state champs were moved up to class 5A-District 4.

The Trojans will be led by a defense that's shaping up to be one of the tops in the area with Saturday players on each level. Starting up front with the beast Chris Sharpe Jr. The 6'0 286lb 2020 DT is quick off the snap, aggressive, and can over power blockers. Sharpe Jr. should will have another terrific season stuffing the run and sacking QBs. After earning a 2018 All-First Coast 2nd Team Defense award Sharpe Jr. will be one of the 904's top lineman yet again. Sharpe Jr. a 3.0gpa student athlete stock is very high with recruiters and will only grow higher as he continues to show versatility by dominating on the offensive line as well.

The 5'8 175lb 2021 banger Darnell Wilson will be the man in the middle for the Trojans. With Sharpe Jr., Chris Johnson and Eugene Vickers causing havoc up front, Wilson will be in position to rack up a ton of tackles this season. Englewood transfer Daniel McCoy will provide another force in the middle for the Trojans and Reshad Dennard will also mix it up in the Trenches.

Sharpe Jr. along with 6'3 290 2021 OL Shaun ''Tunk'' Davis will get the primary task of keeping the 2022 QB Chris Calhoun upright and with a clean jersey. Calhoun has a ton of weapons to work with this up coming season in 2021 Athletes Chris Johnson, Josh Jones, Martranius Mack, Vincent Bailey, Freddie Manning, and J'wan Grey.

2021 3 Star Chris Johnson is a matchup nightmare for coordinators. The Tall, athletic, and fast Johnson can line up out wide and beat you over the top or haul in catch after catch on the slower backers or safeties from the tight end spot. Johnson will also mix it up at DE as he's just as good on that side of the ball. The 6'2 200lb Johnson has a body frame coveted by D1 scouts. Johnson a 2 ports standout for the Trojans, and received his 1st scholarship as a rising 9th grader from University Miami. Johnson has recently received an offer from Rutgers.

2021 RB/Ath Martranius Mack is pound for pound one of the best players in the entire area. Mack is undersized but has the heart of a lion. His run style is reminiscent of former Jags RB Maurice Joes-Drew. The cat quick RB is an elusive, hard runner that can turn a slight crease into points. Many defenders will learn the hard way about Mack as he delivers a punishing blows at the end of his runs.

2021 Ath Josh Jones is an extremely gifted athlete that will do it all for the Trojans. The sure handed speedster is virtually a big play waiting to happen as he can take it to the house from any spot on the field. The 6'0 170 athlete will also play DB and will lay the boom on any ball carrier he encounters. Jones will also be leaned on heavily in the return game to keep his offense with a short field. The playmaker made his way back home to Ribault after playing for Parker last season. Jones should have a monster spring game vs the Braves as every matchup will be solely in favor. Jones is considered one of the top prospects in the class of 2021. With a breakout season looming for Jones he's sure to climb even higher on local, and national recruiting boards.

The Trojans' DBs are just as talented, and deep as any unit in the area. The Trojans will roll out a ton of physical, ball hawking, athletes in their secondary that can each play a roll on offense or special teams.

Ed White Transfer 2020 CB Ced Woodson will be a huge spark for the Trojans. The 5'9 Woodson is a genuine playmaker as he comes over with 5 career INTs, and 2 non offensive TDs. Woodson will also give the Trojans some much needed carries at the RB spot.

Washington H.S (LoveJoy Ga.) transfer 6'1 185lb 2020 DB/ATh Micheal Holmes will also be another huge addition for the Trojans. Holmes is a very physical DB that loves to lay the wood on ball carriers as he registered 64 tackles, and 7 sacks last season. Holmes is also very sticky in coverage as he gave up 0 completions during his junior campaign. Holmes has offers from Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss., and Liberty.

2020 DB Keonta Jenkins will be the captain and leader of the defense. The long, Rangy, aggressive defender is a tackling machine, and has the cover skills to match. Jenkins 6'3 185lb will also make a huge splash this year on offense by providing QB Calhoun with an additional deep, big target. Jenkins is an 4.5 40 runner and is a rare combination of size, and speed. His services are being requested by several top universities, and currently has offers from Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, FIU, Marshall, and Southern Miss to name a few.

6'0 165lb 2020 DB/Ath Amp Green has been flying under the radar but is poised to have a breakout year. Green has been working extremely hard to perfect his craft in hopes of climbing up recruiting boards before spring ends. Green's hard work hasn't gone unnoticed as he's garnered the attention of Florida, and South Alabama. Green is a shut down corner, that renders receivers virtually useless when lined up against them, regardless of their size. Green is also a speedster and he will also provide coach Smith help on offense.

When you add 2021 DBs Josh Jones, Shawn Evans, Dezabius Green, and 2022 Emarri Mapper into the mix, its hard to imagine opposing QBs completing many passes on the Trojans this year. Evans is another highly athletic guy that can cover. Evans work ethic is second to none as he's come into the spring noticeably bigger, and also seems to be moving a step faster. If the youngster Mapper can soak up the knowledge of playing with all the aforementioned DBs, and continues to put in the work on and off the field he to can add his name to the long list of Trojan DBs to play on Saturdays.
