Jacksonville Florida-

Week one of highschool football in North East Florida was filled with tons of exciting plays, great games, and some brilliant performances as several players helped secure their team a spot on DreamKingFilmz opening 2021 weekly polls.

The Clay Blue Devils had the biggest upset in the area or at least in Clay County as they took down a talented Fleming Island Golden Eagles team 21-14.

Ath D'Maurion Frazier soared over the Eagles for 2TDs and 112yds on 8 catches. Frazier also had an interception to help set up one of the area's best RBs Al'Querius Ray's 58yd go ahead TD run in the fourth quarter. Ray finished with 105yds rushing.

Head Coach OJ Small and his unit got their first official win as the Riverside Generals with a dominating 28-3 win over Terry Parker. Senior RB Alvin Gibson Jr. scalped the Braves for 124yds and 2TDs on 15 carries. Gibson also had 2 catches for 24yds and a 2pt reception.

Sandalwood senior QB Chrish Calhoun helped the Saints march pass Fletcher in a close game with 144yds rushing on 18 carries, and 3 rushing TDs. Calhoun also added 74yds passing as the Saints edge the Senators 18-0.

Arguably the area's best RB senior Kade Frew chewed up the West Nassau Warriors' defense for 176yds and 4TDs on 10 carries in just the first half. Frew's performance help the Bolles Bulldogs blowout West Nassau 42-0. Many in the area believe Frew has a legitimate shot at leading the area in rushing when this season ends, which is normally in mid December for Bolles.

Oakleaf Knights junior RB Devin Outlaw ran through a rain soaked Orange Park defense for 2 TDs, and 212yds on 14 carries. The Knights rushing attack looks poised to rack up huge numbers this season behind Outlaw, Michael Brandon (136), Armon Cooper and Isaiah Shevcook as they combined for 501yds on the Raiders.

Rogers' post game interview

In the absence of 5 star Oklahoma commit RB Treyaun Webb, Trinity's Sophomore RB Darnell Rogers stepped to the plate, and had the best game of his young career against Raines as he battered the Vikings' defense on 29 carries, for 250yds, and 2TDs.

Raines had the early momentum as they led

12-0 on a Pick6 by junior LB Craig Jenkins, and a 31yd rushing TD by senior RB Darnell Cummings.

After the Cummings score, 4 star Penn State commit ath Cam Miller had a crucial 92yd kick return for a TD to help keep Trinity in striking distance of Raines. Carlton Butler would help the Vikings extend their 2nd quarter lead to 18-7 as he launched a 70yd bomb to senior WR, and UConn commit Kareem Burke.

To close the 1st half Raines would give up a punt return to the 2yd line, and they'd botch a punt attempt from inside their 10. oth plays would be capped with a short Rogers TD run. Trinity would lead 21-18 at the half

Rogers had a 61yd run in the third quarter which led to a chip shot field goal and gave the Conquerors the insurmountable 24-18 lead. Late in the final frame Rogers would pop a 54yd run to inside Raines 10yd line, but would be stripped by Mercer commit senior DB Kyree Hammond two plays later to give Raines a chance to tie, and win it.

The game would come down to a final pass attempt from Butler to Burke in the front homeside corner of endzone, but the Conquerors' sophomore DB Tyler Jackson would break up the pass to help secure the win.
