JAX, FL NATIVE TODD LOTT SIGNS WITH ST. LOUIS CARDINALS AFTER BEING DRAFTED IN THE 9TH ROUND


JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA


Former Trinity Christian Conquerors standout James Todd Lott signs with the St. Louis Cardinals after being selected in the 9th round as the 275th overall pick of the 2019 MLB draft on day 2. The 6'4 235lb outfielder had a stellar junior season campaign for Louisiana-Lafayette earning First Team All-Conference accolades. Lott led his team with 48 RBI's on 67 hits, registering 9 doubles, 1 triple and 8 home runs. He tacked on 12 stolen bases on 16 attempts. Lott's career numbers for the Cajuns are 73 RBI's, 12 HR's on 117 hits, and 14 stolen bases.

After an impressive 12 home run, 21 RBI senior campaign for Trinity, Lott was drafted in the 20th round as the 588th pick out of high school by the Cincinnati Reds but chose to forgo the opportunity. Lott's teammate JC Flowers was also selected as the 528th pick by the Reds in the same 2016 draft.
