Revenge Tour: Trinity downs UC in 2nd contest

The Trinity Conquerors defeated the UC Christians to improve to 2-1 on the season. Both contest were played identical with both defense making some really huge plays, 1 player scoring 2 rushing TDs for the winning team, and the losing team would again come away with 2 INTs. Both contest would end in a 14-8 final score to tie the season series at 1-1.

In the 1st contest Noah Taylor would be the player of the game as he rushed for over 100yds and 2 TDs. Taylor also helped cap the Conquerors offense as he made some terrific plays on defense. DK Gilley, and Taylor each logged an interception. 2 plays after Taylor's pick he'd pop a 70yd TD run to give UC an insurmountable 14-8 lead in the 3rd quarter. Trinity's scored would come in the top of the 2nd frame on a 20yd pass from King Boylston to Miles Burris. Clinton Crump Jr, and Cam Anderson each had an INT for the Conquerors.

In the 2nd matchup between the county rivals Cam Anderson would earn MVP honors by making key tackles on defense and scoring (2) 4th quarter TDs.

The contest would be a defensive battle in the beginning as both teams traded 4th down stops, and hard hits to keep the game scoreless for the majority of the 1st half. Mid 2nd quarter the Christians would put together a promising drive that would reach the 1yd line but TC's defense would stand tall and deny UC the score as Elijah Croker would force Noah Taylor out of bounds just before crossing the goal line.

UC's RB/DB Alan Woods would put the Christians on the board 1st by picking off a pass and walking 10yds to the endzone. After a failed 2pt try the Christians would lead it 6-0.

To open the 3rd frame, Christians' Austin Kellogg would pick off an errant TC pass and race 50yds down to the 26yd line but the return would be negated for holding. UC would turn the ball over on downs. Just as TC's offense would begin to crank up, UC's LB Luke Thomas would began to go beastmode on ball carriers, but TC would keep on pounding the rock with Miles Burris, and Cam Anderson and would be faced with a 1st and goal to start the 4th frame. The Conquerors would cash in as Anderson would barrel his way into the endzone on a 8yd run to tie the game at 6 each with just over 7 minutes to play in the game. The 2pt try would be no good as the QB slipped and fell.

On UC's ensuing drive they'd fumble, and TC's Michael Sterdivent would recover. Sterdivent had a huge night on defense for the Conquerors. After marching down to the 1yd line by continuously pounding the football, Cam Anderson would again barrel his way into the endzone with the help of his entire offensive line. Clinton Crump Jr would haul in the 2pt catch and the Conquerors would hang on to win it.
