SENATORS' MYLES MONTGOMERY 227Yds 2 TDs IN 34-14 WIN OVER BISHOP KENNY CRUSADERS

The Fletcher Senators (1-0) defeated the Bishop Kenny Crusaders (0-1) 34-14 to open the season. 2021 Myles Montgomery had yet another huge game as he ran over the Crusaders for 227yds and 2tds on 20 carries.

Kenny would take the initial lead as RB Luis Riles would rumble in from 15yd out.

Montgomery would match BK's score with a 35yd TD run.

both defenses would tighten up in the 2nd frame and the game would be tied 7-7 at halftime.

To open the 3rd frame ATh Tariq Riley's 4oyd kick return would give the Senators great field position and QB Devon Lingle would capitilize on it and break the tie with a 35yd keeper to give the Senators the lead 14-7 with just over 11:00 to play in the quarter. Lingle was poised to have a great game after committing to furthur his academic, and athletic career at Dartmouth earlier that afternoon via twitter. Lingle also hooked up with leaping Javon Heggs for a 25yd TD.

After falling down 20-7 Crusaders' QB George Farmand would hook up with Andrew Tabor to cut thew Senators' lead to 20-14 with 2:11 to play in the 3rd frame.

Montgomery would have a really big 3rd frame for the Senators as he rushed for 148yds. His 2nd score came in the 3rd on a 42yd run following a 35yd run in which he stiff armed a defender down at midfield. Tyler McDonald would tack on a 22yd TD. The score would give Fletcher an insurmountable 34-14 lead and victory. Jeff Davis had 2ints, and Merrit Reynolds also had an INT to help stifle George Farmand's passing attack all game.

Fletcher will host (1-0) Sandalwood who squeeked past Parker 20-14, and Kenny will travel to face Atlantic Coast who will also be looking to get things turned around after losing to Mandarin.
