In Friday night action the 3-0 Lee Generals would continue to march over area teams with a 38-13 win over 1-2 Mandarin Mustangs that ended in walk off fashion as 1 of North Florida's best athletes Taz Nicholson intercepted a tipped pass and raced 106yds to the endzone. When asked about the play Nicholson said " I follow coach Small technique and do what he teach me, I do it all, I do it all on the field, I don't know why I'm underrated, I do everything that can be done, and do it all he would, gaining 276 a.p. yards, 1 int and scoring 4 TDs on the night. When asked about the performance Taz added "It's cause of my brothers, the linemen stepped up, Sapp came through, it's because of them not me."

To start the game Taz would take the kick off and gain 24yds to set up the Generals 1st march of the contest in which Cobie Bates would get the start. Starting WR Jurial Caldwell would be sidelined to start the game as well. D.E Christian Warren would play a huge role for the Stangs helping to force a Lee punt by making a couple stops. QB Tre Lawrence and RB Cam Daniels would get the start for Mandarin as starters Carson Beck and Terrill Jennings were out with injuries. The Stangs would be forced to punt on it opening possession as General's Joel Rose came up with a huge3rd down sack on Lawrence.On the Generals 2nd possession Cobie Bates would take a 4th and 1 pitch from Sapp at the 40 and pick up 10yds and a 1st down. Sapp would get Lee inside the red zone before Jerome Jolly would step up and break up a pass to force a Lee 30yd fg attempt which they'd miss wide left. Clarence Conyers would get the game's 1st turnover by picking off Lawrence and returning it a few yards to the 15 where Taz would strike on the next play scoring on a 15yd untouched run. Lee would miss the extra point and have to settle for the early 6-0 lead. After trading punts with Lee, Mandarin would get the ball in the shadow of their own goal line and be nearly hit with a safety call after brothers Terrence and Trevor James and a host of other Generals would combine to stuff WR Kris Mitchell at the goal line. To open Q2 the Stangs would shank their punt attempt as it only netted 15yds. Taz would strike again on a 15yd td run. The generals would take a 13-0 lead after the made extra point. Mustang's Cam Daniels would get a 1st down on a 4th and 2 run ,then he would break free to get the ball to the 8 before the Generals DE Ralph Mency would step up and reek havoc on the Mustangs after getting 3 str8 TFLs he came up with a huge sack on Lawrence to force a turn over on downs. Caldwell would show why he's highly touted by recruiters making a next level catch on the sideline for 15yds. The Generals would turn it over on down as Travis Moss and Johnny Rego would start to reek their own havoc on the Generals offense. Needing to put some points on the board QB Tre Lawrence would step up and take advantage of the great field position by hitting Ath Jalen Smith in the flats to get them in the red zone, then Lawrence would find Cam Daniels creeping out to his right who took the pass and sprinted 18yds and dove into the end zone to cut the lead to 13-7 with just under 2:00 to play in the 1st half. The score would remain the same until halftime as Christian Warren would come up huge again by stripping Sapp and forcing a fumble to end the drive which had reach the 18. LB Tyler DiGregorio recovered the fumble.

To start the 2nd half the Stangs would get the ball at the 30 after Darien 'DayDay' Oxendine took the kick back to the 30. Mandarin would be forced to punt after Trevor James came up with a huge stop. The General's offense would sputter to open the 2nd half nearly fumbling away a mishandled pitch in which Travis tackled the ball carrier deep in the backfield, Demario 'Poppa' Douglas would intercept a Sapp pass and return it into Generals territory. After a few nice gains by Cam Daniels, DayDay Oxendine would take a snap and keep it for the 2yd score. The Generals would block the kick to keep the score even at 13. On the Generals ensuing possession they'd have it 1st and 10 from the 20 rather quickly after a huge catch by Nicholson and 2 personal foul calls. On 3rd and 1 from the 11 Christian Warren would again come up huge by tackling Nicholson for a 5yd loss. The Stangs would block the ensuing Generals FG attempt. Mandarin would have a chance to take to lead late in the 3rd but Trevor James would have none of it coming up with a bone crushing tackle which would be followed by a 20yd loss due to a bad snap. Lee would be set up with great field position at the 36 after nearly blocking the punt. Malik Brown would carry it to the 22 and Jurial Caldwell would catch a 1st down pass after being set back 5yds on a delay call. Sapp would find Caldwell on a diving 5yd catch to stretch the lead to 20-13 with 9:30 to play. Kasimir Absolou would take the kick to the 40 to set Mandarin up with great field position. The next play DayDay Oxendine found himself streaking down the middle of the field but couldn't bring in the pass that went just off his finger tips. Lawrence would step up and deliver a strike to Douglas to 33. A couple plays later, Trevor James would come up huge again forcing a fumble in which Clarence Conyers would recover.

Nicholson would make a 11yd run that folks are still trying to figure out how he broke those tackles. Caldwell would bang through a couple tacklers to gain 10 before Sapp delivered a strike to Nicholson who took it in for the 42yd score and 27-13 lead with 4:27 to play. DreamKingFilmz Top50 player from 2017, 2022 DB Jahiem 'Slim' Singletary continues to impress his coaching staff and Generals fanatics by coming up with a crucial int, however Singletary fumbled it away on the return. The Generals defense would come up major again with it's 4th turnover of the game by forcing a fumble in which Clarence Conyers would once again recover. Nicholson would take a Sapp pass and make a grown man run to the 5 to set up a sort td run by Kevonte Doles. The lead would be 32-13 with 3:12 to play. The Mandarin side of the stadium would be stunned in disbelief as the game was just time at the 10 minute mark. Kennedy Burroughs would seemingly seal the Mustangs fate with a huge sack to bring up 3rd and 21. Mandarin would get the ball to the 2yd line before Taz Nicholson Ultimately came away with the walk off pick 6 and a 38-13 win. Lee will travel next week to face DreamKingFilmz #2 ranked Team 3-0 Columbia Tigers. Generals currently ranked #3 behind #1 Trinity 3-0 and Columbia.
