UC 42-0 OVER LAKESIDE

Updated: Aug 29, 2018

SOUTHSIDE JACKSONVILLE-

The UC Christians middle school football team took on the Lakeside Gators in their 1st action of the season. The Gators who went 0-8 last season would come into the game looking to get things turned around in the right direction for their program with a win over power house UC. The task wouldn't be an easy one as UC is known to churn out several top players in the area. For UC it would be business as usual lighting up the scoreboard as they scored early and often on the Gators. QB Terrance Ford would start the party off with a 20yd td run. Reginald Jackson would dance his way to the end zone on a 60yd run and a 14-0 lead 1st quarter lead. In the 2nd period Dessirrio Riles and MJ Comer would get in on the 1st half fun with 20yd and 10yd td runs. UC went into halftime leading 28-0.

In the 2nd half UC's defense led by DL Damion Parrish and LB Matthew Cherry would continue to shut down the Gator's offense. The Gator's only promising drive of the 2nd half was ended when the bigman Damion Parrish led a goal line stand which led to Reginald Jackson popping a 95yd td run on the Christian's ensuing possession. Desirrio Riles would end the scoring down pour with a 10yd td and 2pt run. The Christians would win the game 42-0
